Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Manchester duo's sophomore album heavily deconstructs standard dance music formulas, famously characterized by its deliberate avoidance of traditional 4/4 time signatures. Lou Rhodes' emotive jazz-inflected vocals soar over Andy Barlow's frenetic drum and bass programming, yielding a sophisticated, incredibly dense evolution of the trip-hop genre.
