Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Is a Woman', Lambchop strips away their expansive orchestral arrangements to focus on a delicate, hushed form of alt-country and chamber pop. Kurt Wagner's lethargic, mumbled baritone delivers deeply introspective, existential poetry over minimalist piano and guitar. The resulting album is a remarkably intimate and warm nocturnal masterpiece.
