Album Notes & Community Reviews

Revolutionizing the art of vocalese, this vocal trio ingeniously set rapid-fire, witty lyrics to pre-existing instrumental solos from the Count Basie orchestra. Utilizing early multi-tracking studio technology, the singers flawlessly replicated the complex, booming horn arrangements of the big band era with their voices alone.
