Album Notes & Community Reviews

Lana Del Rey's major-label debut 'Born to Die' introduced her signature 'Hollywood sadcore' aesthetic to the world. Blending sweeping orchestral strings with hip-hop beats and sultry, retro-styled vocals, the album explores themes of doomed romance and American glamour. Though initially polarizing, it became a seminal pop record that influenced a generation of artists with its moody, cinematic atmosphere.
