Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd', Lana Del Rey moves toward a more conversational and improvisational songwriting style, setting aside her established world-building for raw, personal reflections on family, mortality, and legacy. The album's production, led by collaborators like Jack Antonoff and Mike Hermosa, blends Americana and alt-pop with gospel, trap, and soul, creating a soundscape that is both experimental and rooted in classic piano-led balladry. This critically acclaimed work, noted for its lyrical intimacy and ambitious scope, earned Grammy nominations for Album of the Year and Best Alternative Music Album.
