Album Notes & Community Reviews
L'Arc-en-Ciel's debut, 'Dune', established the band's initial direction on the independent Danger Crue label, achieving number one on the Oricon indies chart. The album鈥檚 sound is a distinctive fusion of post-punk, new wave, and gothic rock, characterized by ken's atmospheric guitar work, tetsu's melodic basslines, and the precise, powerful drumming of sakura. Hyde's dramatic and emotive vocals guide the songs through melancholic and fantastical themes, cementing the album as a foundational work in the 1990s visual kei movement.
