Album Notes & Community Reviews
Operating as their poignant swan song, 'Hard Times' finds the legendary Detroit outfit noticeably slowing their furious post-hardcore tempos in favor of a heavy, deeply swampy punk-blues sound. The album is anchored relentlessly by Larissa Strickland's blistering slide-guitar riffs and John Brannon's terrifyingly unhinged, throat-shredding vocal howls. It serves as a brilliantly dark, ferociously raw conclusion to the tragically underappreciated band's career.
