Album Notes & Community Reviews

Breaking a four-year retirement from the music industry, the acclaimed singer-songwriter returned with a beautifully relaxed, jazz-inflected collection of pop-soul. Inspired heavily by her time living in a rural environment and the recent death of her mother, the deeply introspective material is marked by its gentle, bittersweet tone. The production successfully merges her distinctive vocal phrasing with smooth, sophisticated instrumental backing.
