Album Notes & Community Reviews
The veteran songwriter's eleventh studio album was recorded under the heavy emotional strain of her impending divorce from long-time producer and husband Tucker Martine. Despite the underlying personal turmoil, the meticulously crafted indie-folk compositions remain incredibly melodic and gracefully arranged, featuring guest appearances from Jim James and Sufjan Stevens.
