Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taking formal singing lessons prior to recording, the renowned multimedia artist largely abandons her signature spoken-word delivery for a more melodic, accessible vocal style. The arrangements blend sophisticated studio pop with subtle electronic experimentation, backing her dry, observational lyrics about modern American life. It represents one of her most musically conventional yet emotionally direct projects.
