Album Notes & Community Reviews

An imposing collaboration between Australian sound artist Lawrence English and New York avant-garde composer Lea Bertucci. 'Chthonic' constructs a massive, subterranean soundscape utilizing heavily processed field recordings and slowly suffocating, ominous drones. The album masterfully evokes the claustrophobic and mysterious sensations of deep earth and impending environmental catastrophe.
