Album Notes & Community Reviews

Veteran soul singer Lee Fields delivers one of the finest performances of his career on 'Emma Jean', backed by the impeccable groove of The Expressions. The album blends grimy Southern soul with moments of tender balladry, including a surprising cover of JJ Cale's 'Magnolia'. Fields' weathered voice carries decades of emotion, proving him to be a vital, enduring force in the modern soul revival.
