Album Notes & Community Reviews

The solo record from the former Sonic Youth guitarist transitions away from his signature noise-rock dissonances toward an ambitious, acoustic-driven songcraft. Produced alongside Ra眉l Refree in Barcelona, the tracking incorporates electronic beats, expansive string arrangements, and prominent guest vocals from Sharon Van Etten. The lyricism was heavily co-written with American author Jonathan Lethem, providing a deeply literary, narrative focus.
