Album Notes & Community Reviews

The rock artist's fourth studio album marked a noticeably darker, more introspective departure from the massively successful, sunny retro-rock of his previous release. Plagued by extreme exhaustion and profound dissatisfaction with the music industry, Kravitz heavily leaned into sluggish, grinding hard rock riffs and deeply religious lyrical themes. Despite its heavier atmosphere and mixed critical reception, the record still achieved significant platinum sales.
