Album Notes & Community Reviews
With 'Coal', Leprous stripped back their sound to create a rhythmic, melancholic masterpiece of modern progressive metal. Einar Solberg's soaring vocals float over syncopated, staccato riffs and atmospheric keyboards. The album is cohesive and moody, showcasing the band's ability to be technical without sacrificing emotional impact.
