The Congregation

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Norwegian quintet fully hones their highly technical, rhythmically complex approach into a tense, deeply melancholic masterpiece of modern progressive metal. Emphasizing intricate, syncopated guitar rhythms over traditional distorted riffs, the instrumentation perfectly complements Einar Solberg's soaring, theatrical vocal delivery. It serves as a defining bridge between their heavy, avant-garde origins and the atmospheric rock of their future.
