Album Notes & Community Reviews
Anchored by his signature 'walking' bass technique, the bandleader guides a remarkably fluid sextet session deeply rooted in the West Coast tradition. The arrangements showcase a brilliant interplay between vibraphonist Victor Feldman and the horn section, delivering a relaxed yet persistently driving sense of swing. It stands as a premier example of melodic, groove-oriented cool jazz.
