Album Notes & Community Reviews

Focusing intensely on layered percussion rather than sweeping string sections, the exotica pioneer crafts a kinetic tribute to Afro-Cuban and African rhythmic traditions. The dynamic interplay of congas, bongos, and brass results in an aggressive, highly danceable variant of space-age pop.
