Album Notes & Community Reviews

Led by renowned producer and multi-instrumentalist Mitch Easter, this debut full-length is a defining artifact of the burgeoning Southern jangle-pop sound. The album pairs incredibly sharp, Beatles-esque power-pop melodies with quirky, inventive studio production and slightly melancholy lyricism. It was a college radio favorite, exerting considerable influence over the broader 1980s American alternative rock scene.
