Album Notes & Community Reviews
Solidifying their transition from jazz-funk instrumentalists to global pop superstars, the group's most successful album relies heavily on slick, synthesizer-dominated production. Mark King's signature slap-bass technique is seamlessly integrated into highly melodic, radio-friendly sophisti-pop arrangements that perfectly encapsulated the late-80s chart aesthetic.
