Album Notes & Community Reviews

A foundational, highly referenced text for modern pop-punk and emo, 'Hello Bastards' radically injected highly personal, relationship-focused lyricism into the aggressive framework of New Jersey hardcore. The album's lightning-fast tempos and intensely melodic, shout-along choruses provided a crucial evolutionary bridge. It perfectly connected the grit of the underground punk scene with the emotional vulnerability of late-90s alternative rock.
