Album Notes & Community Reviews
Captured during the height of the folk revival, 'Lightnin' in New York' presents the Texas blues legend in a stark, unaccompanied setting. Produced by Nat Hentoff, the intimate recording highlights Hopkins' idiosyncratic guitar rhythms and deeply personal, conversational vocal style.
