Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Finnish saxophonist steps out as a solo bandleader for a profoundly delicate, intricately layered avant-garde jazz debut. 'Juniper' relies heavily on a unique process of capturing intimate home recordings and solitary improvisations, later fleshing them out with studio ensembles and subtle electronic textures. The record offers an incredibly warm, deeply atmospheric exploration of modern European chamber jazz.
