Album Notes & Community Reviews
A profoundly militant, heavily political masterwork of dub poetry detailing the systemic racism and oppression faced by Black Britons in late-70s London. Linton Kwesi Johnson's remarkably passionate, incredibly poetic spoken-word delivery is perfectly backed by Dennis Bovell's thunderous, fiercely rhythmic dub reggae production, resulting in a rebellious, highly conscious classic.
