Stepping momentarily away from her iconic work with Dead Can Dance, the Australian vocalist recorded a sweeping, intensely majestic solo debut backed by the Victorian Philharmonic Orchestra. Her completely unique, idioglossic vocal phrasing glides over lush, highly atmospheric orchestrations heavily infused with Persian and global traditional instrumentation. The profoundly ethereal, deeply spiritual recording served as an early indicator of her impending, highly successful career in major film scoring.
