Album Notes & Community Reviews
Marking a notable shift in the band's internal dynamics, 'The Last Record Album' finds Paul Barrere and Bill Payne taking on much larger songwriting roles alongside Lowell George. The resulting sound leans heavily into jazz-fusion and mellow, extended funk-rock grooves, smoothing out the grit of their earlier southern rock efforts.
