Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to update his classic rock and roll sound for a new decade, the legendary architect of rock recorded this comeback effort at FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals. Backed by a formidable studio rhythm section, he injected driving funk and gritty Southern soul into his repertoire. The effort proved highly successful, resulting in his final significant chart appearance with the socially conscious anthem 'Freedom Blues'.
