Album Notes & Community Reviews
The debut studio album from the North London rapper was released independently through her own label after she famously turned down major label offers to maintain creative control. Recorded primarily at Red Bull Studios, the record is a conceptual exploration of the pressures and psychological toll of sudden fame. It established her reputation for complex internal rhymes and a technical flow that bridged the gap between grime and global hip-hop traditions.
