GREY Area

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a critical breakthrough, 'GREY Area' finds Little Simz navigating the anxieties and uncertainties of her mid-twenties with unfiltered honesty and sharp lyrical precision. The album’s production, primarily handled by Inflo, fuses aggressive hip-hop with a raw, organic sonic palette, incorporating live instrumentation and drawing from funk, soul, and rock. This concise, ten-track project was lauded for its musical depth and vulnerable songwriting, earning both a Mercury Prize nomination and an Ivor Novello Award for Best Album.
