Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping decidedly away from the elaborate, full-band productions of his early solo career, Lloyd Cole returns to a remarkably stripped-down, acoustic-driven intimacy. 'Love Story' intensely highlights his wry, deeply literate lyrical style, offering mature, highly sophisticated reflections on romance and aging. The album frames these narratives perfectly within a warmly minimalist, heavily folk-indebted sonic framework.
