Released as the official companion soundtrack to his debut novel of the same name, the rapper almost entirely abandons hip-hop to pursue acoustic alternative rock and indie pop. The album features notable production assistance from Mac DeMarco but was universally panned by critics for its incredibly derivative songwriting and strained vocal performances. It remains a bizarre, highly criticized pivot in his commercial discography.
