Avoid the Light

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The second studio album by the German instrumental rock band masterfully balances the swelling, delay-soaked crescendoes of post-rock with the muscular, down-tuned riffing of alternative metal. With the exception of a guest vocal appearance by Jonas Renkse of Katatonia, the record relies entirely on shifting, progressive song structures to convey deep emotional resonance. It cemented their status as one of Europe's premier heavy instrumental acts.
