Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the foundational launchpad for Madlib's legendary production career, this strictly underground release champions dusty, crate-digging aesthetics and complex sample flips. The trio actively positions themselves against the commercial excess of mainstream rap, delivering intricate, jazz-inflected rhythms and playfully boastful lyricism.
