Album Notes & Community Reviews
Having returned to Trinidad following his enormously successful tenure in London, Lord Kitchener reasserted his dominance over the carnival season with 'King of Calypso'. The album features his trademark witty, double-entendre laden lyricism laid over buoyant brass and percussion arrangements. It is a vibrant celebration of post-independence Trinidadian culture from one of the genre's most commanding historic figures.
