Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released just months after their acclaimed debut, this darker, more cynical sophomore effort continues the Welsh octet's brand of hyper-literate, frantic indie-pop. Gareth Campesinos!'s lyrics are incredibly dense and self-deprecating, shouted alongside glockenspiels, chaotic violin screeches, and rapid-fire drum fills. The band insisted it was not a traditional second album but a companion piece, solidifying their high-energy, emotionally fraught aesthetic.
