'Aconcagua' integrates Andean indigenous instruments and taquirari rhythms into extended progressive rock structures. Los Jaivas continue their fusion of rock andino with Hispanic American folk elements, creating pieces that evoke the natural landscapes of Chile. The album further established the ensemble's distinctive approach to blending traditional folklore with electric experimentation.
