Album Notes & Community Reviews

Leaning heavily into infectious grooves, alto saxophonist Lou Donaldson bridges the gap between hard bop and the emerging soul-jazz movement on 'Light-Foot'. The addition of Ray Barretto on congas infuses the session with an undercurrent of Afro-Cuban rhythm, perfectly complementing Donaldson's bluesy, deeply swinging lines.
