Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Soulin'' captures Lou Rawls at the intersection of jazz vocal phrasing, rhythm-and-blues material, and the emerging adult soul market. His relaxed timing and conversational delivery helped distinguish him from both traditional crooners and harder gospel-derived soul singers.
