Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dedicated to his wife amidst a period of intense personal turmoil and fraught sobriety, Lou Reed's 'Legendary Hearts' is a remarkably stark, deeply introspective portrait of marital strain. Reed's signature deadpan, spoken-word delivery and sarcastic wit narrate bitter tales of alcohol, anger, and longing over remarkably tight, no-frills art rock arrangements.
