Album Notes & Community Reviews

Often viewed as a confusing stylistic detour in Reed's expansive solo catalog, 'Mistrial' heavily embraces the stiff, programmed drum machines and shiny pop-rock production of the mid-80s. Despite the slick, surprisingly energetic funk-rock arrangements, his signature deadpan delivery and cynical, street-level narratives remain deeply ingrained in the material.
