Album Notes & Community Reviews

A deeply authentic document of the British folk revival, 'Ballads & Broadsides' features Louisa Jo Killen delivering entirely unaccompanied performances of Northumbrian folklore. The austere, a cappella arrangements rely exclusively on her resonant voice to convey centuries-old narratives of maritime tragedy and working-class life.
