Album Notes & Community Reviews

Lowgold's debut 'Just Backward of Square' collects the Oxford band's melancholic, harmony-led guitar pop, its title an anagram of the group's name. The record arrived at the tail of the post-Britpop period with a notably American-facing melodic sensibility.
