Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Presque Rien No. 1', subtitled 'Le lever du jour au bord de la mer', was assembled from untreated recordings Ferrari made at dawn in July 1967 in the Croatian fishing village of Vela Luka and edited at the label's Hannover studios, where it shared an LP with 'Soci茅t茅 II'. Ferrari, who had co-founded the Groupe de Recherches Musicales with Pierre Schaeffer, called the piece a sonic photographic slide, a soundscape containing no apparent musical sounds at all.
