Album Notes & Community Reviews
Pivoting away from the dark, doom-laden heavy prog of their debut, the German outfit (fronted by British vocalist John Lawton) embraced a more straightforward, commercial hard rock sound on their third release. Driven by energetic, Hammond-drenched boogie riffs and soaring vocal performances, the record draws heavy comparisons to contemporaries like Deep Purple and Uriah Heep. The stylistic shift highlighted the band's versatility while attempting to capture a broader mainstream rock audience.
