Album Notes & Community Reviews
'West' is the eighth studio album by American singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams. Produced by Hal Willner, the record is heavily informed by a period of deep personal grief, directly addressing the death of her mother and the end of a turbulent romantic relationship. The brooding instrumentation perfectly complements Williams' weathered vocals, resulting in an intensely vulnerable work.
