Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Virginia songwriter's sophomore effort is a monumental, emotionally devastating examination of impending loss, breakups, and the endurance of hope. Her remarkably rich, commanding vocal performances anchor sweeping, fuzz-heavy indie rock arrangements, culminating in one of the most highly praised and structurally confident singer-songwriter albums of the year. It firmly secured her legacy prior to forming the indie supergroup boygenius.
