Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded in a single day in Nashville, the Virginia-based singer-songwriter's debut album is a stunningly mature, guitar-driven exploration of self-doubt and identity. The record beautifully balances her warm, commanding alto vocals with dynamic, fuzzed-out indie rock instrumentation. Its critical success quickly led to her signing with Matador Records, launching one of the most acclaimed indie careers of her generation.
