Album Notes & Community Reviews

Otto Klemperer's monumental 1966 stereophonic recording of the choral masterwork remains a definitive interpretive benchmark. Guiding the New Philharmonia Orchestra and Chorus, the conductor balances the immense, complex polyphony with profound structural clarity and overwhelming spiritual gravitas.
