Album Notes & Community Reviews

Assembling a truly staggering supergroup that essentially comprised the touring band of Santana alongside saxophonist Joe Henderson, the trumpeter produced a vibrant Latin-fusion masterpiece. The extended jams are bursting with ferocious percussion, blistering guitar work from Carlos Santana, and highly spiritual, avant-garde jazz improvisation. It perfectly captures the explosive, cross-cultural energy of the early 70s Bay Area music scene.
