Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conceived as a direct thematic successor to his critically acclaimed 2006 debut, this project finds the Chicago lyricist tackling systemic American injustices with fierce polemic intensity. The record's stark, completely black album cover visually reinforces its unyielding political focus and defiance against commercial expectations. Despite housing profound lyrical content, it faced scrutiny for the perceived unevenness of its crossover-oriented production choices.
